Film Room · Week 2
Week 2: 174 perfect.
One exact call.
Last week, 15 cards survived all seven games. This week the field went 10 times better, which made the tiebreaker the whole ballgame. Here is how 2,460 cards got down to one.
This week's winner
Perfect card, then the tiebreaker exactly right. Casper52 submitted Thursday at 12:06 PM ET, three days before kickoff, and said the Giants and Rams would combine for 34. They did.
Week 2 prize
Hammer Zero Mercy Hybrid
ARV $194.95. Headed to Casper52.
Two weeks, two winners, and both hit the combined score exactly: Rick Z. called 41 in Week 1.
How the 174 perfect cards called the Final
One dot per perfect card. The rule is closest without going over, so everything right of the line was out the moment the Rams took a knee. Only three perfect cards were at or under 34. Hover a dot.

Where the field was right
Every bar is the whole field's picks for one game. Blue is the side that won. Favorites went 6 and 1; the one that lost did almost all the damage.
Chalk got chalked
The most popular card in the contest was every favorite, all seven. 284 people turned it in, 11.5% of the field. Cincinnati beat Houston 20 to 6 in the one o'clock window and sank all 284 in a single afternoon.

Players of the week
The locker room
Perfect in Week 1, when only 15 of 2,165 cards made it. Perfect again in Week 2. Nobody else in the contest is 14 for 14. The tiebreakers didn't go ElmoTrey's way (56, then 47), which is the cruelest sentence in this recap.
One pick away from joining ElmoTrey:
Named themselves after this week's prize ball, then went 7 for 7. Commitment to the bit. The tiebreaker (45) just missed.
